Day log: 08/01
Jan. 9th, 2026 12:08 amBeen a while since I did a day log, and this one will be the first of the year. It's been snowing like crazy! As I type it has already gone down a bit, but the days before this, it was a total storm. Flights were cancelled, services stopped. Apparently it hasn't snowed this hard since, like, 2013. I feel lucky for it to have happened just when I arrived to this country.
It's wonderful walking outside in the snow. Yeah, cold as shit and my fingers always feel like they're falling off, but still lovely. Maybe it's just the novelty but I like playing with snow, just holding it... haha. A new experience to me really. The only annoying part is having to be so careful and slow with how I walk, else I'll slip and fall on my ass.
Today I went out to the city and ate Burger King (an amazing chicken sandwich). It was there that I finished The Picture of Dorian Gray; honestly, I hadn't expected the ending to come so quickly and so abruptly! I went all the way out to buy some books from the bookstore, TVD if you recall, but turns out they don't have it there either. Sadge. They might have it in the future but I'll have to check back next week. Why can't the library just open already?
I now have no books to read—well, Poe and Dickens, but I honestly feel rather lazy about those. Reading A Christmas Carol right after Christmas has passed feels wrong, doesn't it?
I've been very into Hetalia lately too. Embarrassing, I know, but something about it... oof. Scratches my neurons just right. I read that Rusame soulmate fic in one night and I felt it shift my brain chemistry. Will I get over this soon? Who knows. My brain is the one who decides, I'm just along for the ride.
Class tomorrow. Boo. It's international law, though. Not-so-boo. I like that class.
