Today was pretty crazy. I was out for more than half a day which is truly rare for a homebody like me... haha.

I had lectures in the morning and afternoon, so I was at uni for the most part, but after classes I went to the market near the library. The newly-opened library! I was super excited to finally go there but alas, the collection is pretty pathetic. I went there searching for Dostoevsky, any of the other stuff on my TBR, Yukio Mishima's Confession of a Mask, Virginia Woolf's the Waves, Shakespeare... (should remember to add those to my TBR, by the way) but they had nothing. I'm sorry but it is simply insane to not have Dostoevsky in your library is it not?

Frustration aside, the library card is still pretty sweet. I've never had a library card before! I wasn't going home empty-handed so I ended up taking Fitzgerald's the Beautiful and Damned. I loved the Great Gatsby so I'm not expecting this to be anywhere as good, but it looks fun. I also got Agatha Christie's the Regatta Mystery. In some ways it's a return to form because I had a phase in middle school when all I wanted to read was Christie LMAO.

Anyway, I went grocery shopping after that and there was Ben and Jerry's ice cream on sale, yippee. I bought two tubs and I've already eaten a bit of the marshmallow and smores one. It's sooo good. There were things I took for granted back home that I really savour now.

I finished American Psycho between classes, and conclusion? I loved it! Will post my full thoughts soon but yeah, good book and I wasn't disappointed.

Exams are coming up and I have lots of homework to do which is really very annoying. It's okay. I'll just do the regular Mel Special of not studying or working until I really have to. Before then, I'll get in as much writing and reading and messing around as possible!
